Drink Feature of the Week of May 1, 2017 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Shadyside Rum Punch       There are a lot of different Rum Punch recipes out there - I can't tell you how many different ones I've seen. I've had a few memorable ones in my day, particularly at the Rum Bay Restaurant in Englewood, Florida. Truth be told, it would be a travesty if a Restaurant aptly named "The Rum Bay" had a poor drink to it's namesake, but the perfect harmony of a myriad of rums, tropical juices, and cream of coconut make it one of the best I've had.    (The Drink Board from the Rum Bay Bar at Palm Island Resort)    So I came up with this version through some trial and error. I think it's the most delicious and refreshing Rum Punch there is, but try it, and you be the judge! The Origin of "Cocktails First, Questions Later"

Some of you may be wondering, what's the origin of "Cocktails First, Questions Later"? Others may just not care, and want to read the Blog, and that's fine, but for those who are interested, the catch-phrase comes from a friend of mine from high school. I have to give credit where credit is due, and that is to Thomas Hay, who successfully coined the phrase on his AIM profile about a thousand years ago. Regardless, the statement has resonated in my head and successfully found its way to Bumble-profiles, Tweets, and Facebook posts ever since. So without further ado, I bring to you the inaugural post.
